Valtopina XXXVII Truffle Market Exhibition

We will be present on the 2 weekends at the end of November in Valtopina, at the truffle exhibition The National Market Exhibition of Truffles and Typical Products takes place every year on the last two weekends of November and includes a rich variety of exhibition stands of truffles from Valtopina, Umbria and Italy with an interesting section dedicated to foreign products.
The unmissable appointment, since 1981, offers a series of initiatives including itineraries guided by expert truffle hunters, tastings with tasty combinations of the famous trifola with oil and wine, gastronomic proposals with typical menus with the theme “a tutto tartufo.”
Of particular interest is also the characteristic truffle dog bag, the national ‘Truffle Dog Search’ competition and the promotion of short supply chain products: ‘VALTOPINA GUSTA & DEGUSTA’.
Other events: Mostra Mercato del Ricamo a mano e del Tessuto Artigianale (Hand Embroidery and Handicraft Textile Exhibition), which takes place the first weekend in September, hosts not only the renowned Umbrian textile tradition to also exhibitors from all over the country, with the aim of recovering the ancient art of embroidery and establishing a dialogue between different traditions through cycles of meetings and twinning with other schools in Italy.
The last week of June and the first weekend of July sees the Palio di San Bernardino, a medieval re-enactment of the ancient challenge between ii rioni, with competitions, games, performances, an interesting parade in historical costume and culinary traditions.

Two weekends packed with many events will crown the truffle as king of the table with many products to accompany it.

It starts on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 12 noon with the CAMPER MEETING.
